This is being written on March 10th, before noon. There is more that has happened since I wrote this. But today I am writing to tell you all about the major NFL Trades, signings, cuts, or anything similar.
First, my favorite team is making shock waves through the NFL. The Kansas City Chiefs went out and signed the reigning Super Bowl MVP, Kenneth Walker. He had slightly fewer total rushing yards than both Kareem Hunt and Isiah Pacheco, combined! This move puts 2 Superbowl MVPs on the same team: Patrick Mahomes, a multiple-time MVP and Super Bowl MVP, and Kenneth Walker, the reigning Super Bowl Champion and MVP. The Chiefs would also re-sign Travis Kelce to a 1 year deal. The Chiefs hope not to have to pick in the top 10 for a long time after this season.
The Miami Dolphins cut Tua Tagovailoa, which gave them a major cap hit. (I am not smart enough to explain how the cap works) Then the Dolphins went and signed who they hope to be the future, Malik Willis, he is a former Liberty QB, who was drafted by the Titans before finding his way to Green Bay, with the Packers he played a handful of games due to injury of the starter and proved that he is good enough to be a starter somewhere in the league, and the Dolphins paid him like it. 3 years $67.5 million contract, amazing to see Willis getting that kind of money.
The Pittsburgh Steelers added 2 major offensive weapons, with Michael Pittman, the former Colt had a great season and was traded to the Steelers, then they signed Rico Dowdle, this move suprised me, I did not think the Panthers were going to let him walk. But that was not all for the Steelers, they also got a semi-major addition to the Defense, adding Jamel Dean. The Steelers hoping to compete in january of next year after moving on from Mike Tomlin.
The Panthers Added Jaelan Phillips, an edge rusher, then added another Linebacker Devin Lloyd. These 2 got payed the big bucks. But that wasn’t the only guys that got payed big money.
The Raiders Payed former Raven Tyler Linderbaum the biggest contract for an active center. Then Nakobe Dean got payed a solid amount as well. They also Traded Maxx Crosby to the Ravens for some draft capitol.
2 signings that signifiyed the end of an era, as Mike Evans leaving the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to sign with the 49ers, the breakup between Travis Etienne Jr, and Trevor Lawrence, the 2 had been teamates since college. Etienne signed with the Saints. Then Tua Tagovialoa signing with the Falcons.
